Millistarr Newsboy Cap Millinery Course is taking place on Tuesday 4th and Thursday 6th February 2020, AUSTIN, TX.

By request ~ a workshop for the classic Newsboy Cap. This class is a fantastic introduction to the methods used to pattern, cut and sew fabric hats. It resembles garment construction much more than blocking.
Students will choose from patterns for an 8 pc newsboy cap, make any needed alterations for fit, then cut, mark, machine stitch and assemble the outer cap, lining, and visor.
Students will need to bring a sewing machine, fabrics for cap, interlining and lining, matching threads, and a small sewing kit.
Previous hand and machine sewing skills are strongly recommended.
We will meet from 10 am to 4 pm each day, with a 1 hour break for lunch.
