MATERIALS NEEDED

7mm knitting needles

2 x 100gm dk yarn
Tapestry needle
Curtain rings- gold x 4
Clasp- magnetic

Skill level- Beginner
Guage: not necessary
Finished measurement:

Bottom of bag
Holding 2 yarns together cast on 19 sts on a 7mm knitting needles.
Row 1- Row 12 : Knit to end.
Cast off/ bind off.

SIDE OF BAG
Holding 2 yarns together, cast on 30 sts on a 7mm knitting needles.
Row 1- Row 12: knit to end.
Cast off.

BODY OF BAG (MAKE 2)
Holding 2 yarns together, cast on 31sts on a 7mm knitting needles.
Row 1- Row 3 : knit to end
Row 4: k2tog, k to last 2sts, k2tog
Row 5: k to end
Row 6: K1,P1 to last st, K last st.
Row 7: P1, K1 to last st, P last st
Row 8: P2tog, P to last 2st, P2tog
Row 9: K to end
Row 10: K1, P1, to last st, K last st

Row 11: P1, K1, to last st, P last st
Repeat Row 8-11 ( 5times) until 17sts remains on knitting needles
Next Row : P to end
Next Row: K to end
Next Row: K1P1 to last st, K last st
Next Row : P1,K1, to last st, P last st

Repeat these rows, once more
P to end.
Bind off in a knit st.

FINISHING BODY OF BAG
Using yarn to thread the tapestry needle. Using a blanket stitch attach bottom of bag to the body of bag.; and then attach the sides of bag to the bottom and body of bag.
HANDLE OF BAG (make 2)
Cast 12 stitches on the 7mm knitting needle.
Row 1-24: Knit.
Bind off.

FINISHING HANDLE OF BAG
Fold the knitted handle length-wise and sew.
Sew curtain ring to each end of the knitted bag handle.
Sew the handle to the front of bag.

REPEAT FOR THE SECOND (2ND) HANDLE but sew the second handle to the back of bag.

MAGNETIC CLASP
Attach magnetic clasp to the inside of the bag if desired.
Bag could be lined.
