Knitter of the year 2016 entry is still open!

Read the press statement below.

ARE YOU THE DESIGNER OF THE YEAR?

There are 10 chances to win, and I’d love for you to enter!

New designers are invited to create a project using under 100g of yarn. This can be any type of pattern – a hat, a tea cosy, a toy or a baby knit. The only limitation is your imagination! 5 people will win a day out at Sirdar and a copy of guest judge Kate Atherley’s book “The Beginner’s Guide to Writing Knitting Patterns”, as well as a £100 publication fee.

More experienced designers are asked to come up with a theme for a pattern collection. The winners will design a garment which fits in with the theme and will have the opportunity to help the editor choose which other patterns will be featured in their collection. Winners will each get a bundle of patterns from guest judge Justyna Lorkowska, a day out at Sirdar and a £400 publication fee.

All winners will see their patterns featured in Knit Now magazine in 2017. The deadline is midnight on 31st December.

You can find the full details here. I can’t wait to see what you come up with!
