Our featured post from Crafters Dictionary is the wheat flour.
This is a powder gotten from grinding wheat.
Wheat flour is the most common flour use in baking.
Wheat flour is available as;
- Plain or all-purpose: this has no raising agent in it.
- Self Raising: This is the lightest of the flour because it has a raising agent added to it.
Wheat flour can be white or brown(wholemeal). White flour is usually bleached to give it its white appearance and it contains about seventy percent(70) of the wheat grain.
Brown(wholemeal) flour is brown and it contains the whole of the wheat grain.
