This is a board with grooves on it that is used for creating the raised designs imprinted on it.
When a material(fabric, sugarpaste fondant, clay, dough, paper) is placed over the board and an embossing tool is used to trace the design on the material thereby creating a raised effect on one side of the material and a debossed effect on the other side of the material.
