Spend a day with lemon fruit by crocheting a lemon. Here is a free pattern from me(Anino) on how to crochet a lemon.

Materials needed

Yellow DK( double knit) yarn –  75- Sunflower  (I use Robin DK yarn by Thomas B. Ramsden)

Green DK(double knit) yarn-   16 -Apple(I used Robin DK yarn by Thomas B. Ramsden)

Crochet hook\ pin- 4.5mm

Stuffing

Abbreviation: Ch- Chain, DK- Double Knit, DC: Double Crochet(UK), SC: Single Crochet(UK), DTR: Double Treble (UK), SP: Space,

Instructions

To make the leaf (Make 2)

Foundational row: Holding two “2” strands of Green DK yarn together, make 11 chains.

 

Row 1: SC in the 2nd CH from hook. 1SC into next CH SP, 1DC into next 2CH SP. 1DTR into next 2 CH SP, 1DC into next 2CH SP, 1SC into next 2CH SP. 1CH, turn.

 

Row 2: To complete the other side of the leaf: 1SC into next 2CH SP, 1DC into next 2CH SP, 1DTR into next 2CH SP, 1DC into next 2CH SP, 1SC into next 2CH SP, 1CH.

Cast off.

 

To make the lemon

Foundational row: Holding two “2” strands of Yellow DK yarn together, make 21 chains.

 

Row 1: SC in the 2nd CH from hook. 1SC into next 3 CH SP, 1DC into next 4CH SP. 1DTR into next 4 CH SP, 1DC into next 4CH SP, 1SC into next 4CH SP. 1CH, turn.

 

To Form the Lemon Shape: Repeat row 1-lemon (the above step) five (5) times more.

Total rows to crochet = 6.

 

Finishing

Step 1: Put the stuffing in the crocheted lemon piece.

 

Step 2: Sew the edges together to form the lemon shape. Alternatively, use slip-stitch to sew the edges together.

 

Step 3: Sew the leaves to the lemon.
