Enchanted Wood competition to raise funds for Norfolk hospice appeal.
Do you believe in fairies?
There will be a sprinkling of craft-y magic dust in The Butterfly Garden at The Spring Knitting & Stitching Show in London this March.
The Butterfly Garden is a spectacular collection of hundreds of flowers, trees, butterflies, bugs and mini-beasts knitted and crocheted by the Louise Hamilton Knit and Yarn Group and Norfolk Knitters and Stitchers, in aid of the Louise Hamilton Trust Hospice Appeal to build a 10-bed hospice unit at James Paget University Hospital in Great Yarmouth, Norfolk.
Visitors to The Spring Knitting & Stitching Show can be part of this magical fundraising project by taking part in a competition to create a host of new creatures and habitats for the Enchanted Wood, a new element of the garden.
Entries fall into two categories–
- creatures and
- homes.
Creatures can be fairies and pixies, elves and hobbits, witches and wizards, and should be no taller than 30cm (excluding hats).
Homes can be toadstools and tree trunks, logs and burrows and should be no more than 30cm wide.

Either bring along your Enchanted Wood competition entry on the first day of the show (2nd March)by 1pm or submit it to the show organisers by 23rd February.

Judging takes place on 2nd March with prizes awarded to category winners.
All entries will be displayed at the show.
