Stunning and elegant ear-rings and necklace to brighten your Spring outfit. The necklace has been made from ear-rings wire, which have been cut and a loop formed with a round-nose pliers, to form the chain/necklace.
Below is the “Step by Step” tutorial on how to make this Elegant and captivating Spring floral shrink plastic necklace set.
Shrink plastic flowers have been used for the ear-rings and pendant.
MATERIALS NEEDED
- Printed shrink plastic flower shape,
- Ear-rings wire,
- round nose pliers,
- wire cutter,
- necklace clasp,
- glue gun,
- hole paper punch,
- heat gun
STEP 1: Cut out the printed flower shapes on the shrink plastic and then punch holes for inserting the ear-rings because holes cannot be punched after the shrink plastic has solidified. Heat the shrink plastic with the heat gun. To make the petals of the flower raised, place an embossing ball tool in the centre of the flower while heating (picture below). Glue two flowers together for the pendant( this is optional).
TO MAKE THE EAR-RINGS
STEP 2: Using the round-nose pliers, open the eye-hook of the ear-ring and insert the shrink plastic flower for the ear-ring. Close the eye-hook with pliers, repeat for the other ear-ring.
TO MAKE THE NECKLACE
STEP 3: With the wire-cutter, cut a portion of the wire-earring as shown below.
STEP 4: Use the round-nose pliers to close the loop (This forms an eye-hook/loop ).*Before closing the large loop, insert another wire- earring that has been cut (using the small eye-loop/hook ; see pictures below) . Continue in this process to form the chain/ necklace.
TO INSERT THE CLASP
STEP 5: Cut the opened part of the wire-earring(* cut the wire-earring in half or more than half, so that the loop looks as if it has been cut off completely (This makes the loop of the clasp smaller but it is base on preference). Close hook for the clasp with round-nose pliers.
STEP 6: Open the eye-hook loop, and hook the shrink-plastic flower pendant.
