DEBBIE Shore is set to become the face of Crafter’s Companion’s new venture as the company looks to expand its presence in the sewing market.

The announcement comes just six months after the sewing icon engaged with the craft supplies company to develop and launch a new range of CD-ROMS for her loyal followers.

Crafter’s Companion’s core business to date has been predominantly in the papercraft sector but the move to bring Debbie on board will see it make a major push in the increasingly popular needlecraft space.

Sara Davies, founder and sales director at Crafter’s Companion, said: “We are delighted to have Debbie joining our team on a permanent basis as she shares many of the same values as us in terms of having a vision of creating products that consumers will love.

“As well as being the face of our sewing division, we will utilise Debbie’s expertise with regards to consumer insight, latest trends and product development. This will work in harmony with our existing ability to source, innovate and bring quality products to market as quickly as possible to meet consumer needs.

“It’s a very exciting time for our team and with many new products already in the pipeline, we expect to make a major impact in the sewing market over the next few years.”

TV presenter and acclaimed best-selling author of five books, Debbie has spent much of her career working in TV shopping and inspiring people. A passionate needlecraft expert, she designs projects and kits, makes video tutorials and writes for several monthly sewing magazines.

Debbie said: “I have loved collaborating with the team at Crafter’s Companion over the last six months and was thrilled to be offered a permanent position that will allow me to make a bigger impact on existing customers and hopefully many new ones.

“The role allows me to do what I do best in terms of creating inspirational products that people can make themselves at home but with the added benefit of having a team of experts behind me that are experienced in bringing new product ideas to life.”
